Spreading the Word
The Committee and members of the garden are committed to spreading the word to others by sharing knowledge and the garden with others. Visitors are always welcome. If you would like to visit contact us to arrange a date.
The garden is open to the public 3 times a year.
Potato Day in April for the sale of seed potatoes
Open Day in May to enjoy our beautiful garden and have a tea or coffee. Plants that have been grown organically in the garden are on sale. Tours of the garden take place. Information and demonstrations by Sustrans(cycling), reducing CO2 emissions, reducing food waste, beekeeping and much more are on offer.
The Scarecrow Festival in September
We have produced a Community Garden Cookery Book containing simple recipes to encourage people to eat more vegetables. We have also organised cookery demonstrations.
The science cube, Solar Panels and display board are always shown when we have visitors. We provide a cycle shelter to encourage cycling to the garden. Cars being left at home to reduce CO2 emissions.
